Version 0.1.0

D4Filter is now easier to build, import, preview, and share.

This release is focused on helping Diablo 4 players make useful loot filters faster. The biggest changes are Build Import, cleaner gear-slot rules, better preview tools, and new player guides.

Release Notes

What changed in 0.1.0

Written for players, not commit history. These are the changes you will notice while building a filter.

Build Import

The biggest 0.1.0 upgrade is Build Import. It helps players start from a build guide instead of creating every rule by hand.

  • Import Maxroll build guides and planner links.
  • Paste guide text manually when a site cannot be fetched directly.
  • Review matched gear, affixes, uniques, talismans, and unsupported notes before creating rules.
  • Choose import strictness: low for forgiving filters, medium for balanced filters, high for close build matches.
  • Create separate rules for each gear slot so imported Amulet, Ring, Chest, Weapon, and Charm rules stay readable.
  • Cap item affixes at 4 so the importer does not create impossible rules.
  • Combine repeated Charm slots into one cleaner Charm rule.

Filter Builder

The workbench is easier to use during real filter building sessions.

  • Class-aware pickers help hide choices that do not fit your selected class.
  • A first-run class prompt helps the builder show better recommendations.
  • Rule editing, dragging, sorting, and scrolling are cleaner.
  • Affix and item pickers are more compact and easier to scan.
  • Affixes are grouped into clearer game-style categories.

Loot Preview

The preview tools are more useful for checking a filter before taking it into a farming session.

  • The loot simulator can generate valuable drops for testing.
  • Hidden drops and visible labels are easier to inspect.
  • Mythic Unique previews now use 900 item power.
  • Imported rules use clearer recolor behavior based on strictness.

Guides and SEO

The public site now explains the app better for new players and search engines.

  • Added player-friendly guide pages for making a Diablo 4 loot filter, choosing endgame settings, and importing Maxroll builds.
  • Added marketing screenshots that show the workbench, Build Import, and loot preview flow.
  • Improved page titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, and structured data.
  • Kept guide pages in the sitemap so they can be crawled and indexed.

What this means for players

You can start from a guide, review the imported gear rules, tune how strict the filter should be, test the results in the loot preview, then export a cleaner filter for your next farming session.
